Top 5 Unsigned South Carolina Power Forwards/Centers

Below are several of the top 2019 power forwards/centers left on the board in South Carolina’s 2019 class:

Jalyn McCreary

Class of 2019 Legacy Early College (SC)/Game Elite 6-8 PF Jalyn McCreary

Offers: DePaul, Charlotte, Xavier, South Florida, Jacksonville, Central Connecticut State, Murray State, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Florida Gulf Coast, Hofstra, and UMass.

McCreary has a high level frame that has developed the ability to stretch the floor. His mid-range jump shot is consistent. McCreary is a solid finisher around using his strong frame to his advantage. He has a solid motor which shows up on the glass both offensively and defensively. He is a defender who can guard power forwards down low and has enough lateral quickness to guard wings on the perimeter. Head coach BJ Jackson at Legacy Early College has done a good job getting McCreary to feel comfortable on the perimeter. No. 6 overall 2019 player in SC.

Class of 2019 Legacy Early College (SC)/Houston Hoops 6-10 PF Dearon Tucker

Offers: Hartford, DePaul, Wake Forest, and Baylor.

Tucker is a long athletic forward who spent most of his time in Texas before transferring to Legacy Early College. He is one of the most intriguing prospects in South Carolina because he without a doubt can go high-major. Tucker does a great job on the glass, has great footwork down-low, and efficient go to post moves. He plays solid post defense and has a knack to alter shots down low. He is a can’t miss prospect, in our opinion. No. 9 overall 2019 player in SC

Class of 2019 Berkeley (SC)/TMP 6-7 PF Ishan White

Offers: Oklahoma State, South Carolina State, Stetson, Presbyterian College, and Winthrop.

White was a breakout performer this past Spring that put his name on many college radars. He is a high-level motor forward that is oozing with upside. White rebounds the ball at a high-rate and runs the floor fluidly. He is a hybrid forward that can stretch the ball behind the three-point line at an efficient rate and pull the ball on the deck a little bit.  No. 11 overall 2019 player in SC.

Class of 2019 Southside (SC)/Georgia South 6-8 PF RJ Campbell

Offers: North Carolina A&T, Ole Miss, Canisius, South Carolina State, UNC-Greensboro, and Florida Southwestern State (JUCO).

Campbell is an efficient defensive post player. His solid frame makes it hard to gain leverage against him offensively. He excels in a pick and roll offense. Campbell is strong finisher in the paint and around the rim. He does a good job finishing through contact down low with his strong 6-foot-8 frame. Campbell is known as a strong rebounder as well. No. 21 overall 2019 player in SC.

Class of 2019 JL Mann (SC)/Upward Stars-Upstate Silver 6-10 C Cooper Fowler

Interest: Radford, USC-Upstate, Wofford, Furman, Anderson (D2), Lander (D2), and North Greenville (D2).

Fowler is big-bodied post player that we like his upside in the future. This lefty has a great pair of hands and great touch down-low to match with it. No. 32 overall 2019 player in SC.
