Richmond, VA – Over the years the talent that played in Big Shots Richmond events has been mind-boggling like the likes of Frank Mason III, Devin Robinson, Grayson Allen, Kennedy Meeks, Sindarius Thornwell & more. The Big Shots VA Top 100 has had players that seize the opportunity of the stage and make a statement earning interests and offers. Kevin Dorsey Jr. (Colorado State), Brandon Kamga (High Point) and Dravon Mangum (Charlotte) were past MVP’s. Lets look at this year’s 2021-23 top performers and MVP’s:

Standing nearly 6’5 Nickel is a stretch wing that can stroke it, bang inside and continues to develop his guard skills with Chad Moellenberg’s PlayMaker Minicamp as he is rapidly growing into a big size wing. Scored 19 points in Game 2 going head to head with 2018 MVP Gabe Dickerson. Tyler hit shots from all 3 levels off a pick and pop, mid-range game and through contact at the rim. Flushed several dunks at the rim. Solid defender and rebounder, has the ability to get past defenders and draw help defenders and double teams. Passes well out of doubles and unselfish. Major 3-point threat at 6’5. All Star on Big Shots Circuit with Team Loaded. Big Shots VA 2020 Top 10. Twitter: @tnickel23

Omari was a 2021 all star at Big Shots VA Top 100. A pure lefty PG that can get to his spots and is shifty in the lane, crafty and quick. I love watching coach’s sons work their craft with their advanced skill-set and knowledge of the game (his dad Carey HOF at EMU, head coach at East Rockingham HS). A standout ball handler and a knock down shooter that has superb footwork and a pure release. Was a finalist in the 3-pt shootout. Knows to get open or get a teammate open.
