Isaiah Turner, a 6-foot-8 shooting guard has decided to transfer back to Auburndale (FL) High School from Lincoln (GA) Academy, he told us at Big Shots.
Turner, who plays on the circuit with 1Family Hoops made a name for himself this Summer showing he is true shooting guard standing at 6-foot-8. Turner has a great handle for his size and shoots the ball consistently from deep. When he penetrates he is able to see over the top of defenses allowing him to set his teammates up.
Turner told us at Big Shots the main reason for the transfer is because Lincoln Academy is not NCAA certified, “Yeah, some others have left. It was a great experience to travel across the world and play all kinds of good players, I loved the team. Each and every one of them are my brothers. I just felt it was better for me to return back home and play with a team and school system that I trust.”
We at Big Shots have evaluated Turner as a National Top 150 prospect for the Class of 2019.
“Playing with Lincoln Academy got me a lot better, the training was very hard. Everything is great, it was worth moving. Lincoln Academy helped me gain more offers and interest from schools like Alabama-Birmingham, Middle Tennessee State, Oregon, Dayton, and Georgia among others.”
Turner will be elgible to play this coming up Monday (1/15). He told us after 5 days of being back at Auburndale, he is already practicing with the team.
Turner currently holds offers from Vanderbilt, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Tech, and Alabama-Birmingham.
