Drew Pember, a 6-foot-9 stretch forward from Bearden (TN) High School just announced he has committed to Tennessee via Twitter. Pember’s stock has increased tremendously this circuit season while running with B-Maze Elite.

What is Tennessee getting with the commitment of Pember? At 6-foot-9 Pember is arguably one of the purest shooting fowards I have seen this circuit season from behind the three-point line. He is an underrated rebounder who handles to the ball well enough to initiate offense in transition. He has enough lateral quickness to give Tennessee versatility defensively when it comes to switching picks.

Pember is a great offensive rebounder who displays terrific touch around the rim for second chance opportunities. He does a great job running the floor putting pressure on the defense being able to finish above the rim or to spot up for three. He will give guys like Grant Williams and DJ BurnsĀ spacing in the post making it hard for opponents to double down without leaving Pember open behind the three-point line. He has shown the ability to block and alter shots with his length down low. With B-Maze Elite, he has shown great outlet passing ability to set up teammates for easy points. Pember shows great upside to have a solid career in the SEC.
